The coastal community of Imperial Beach is located 20 miles south of San Diego, just north of Tijuana, and is full of laid-back Southern California charm. The community was originally a beach retreat for residents of Imperial Valley in 1887, hence the name. Known for having some of the best sand and most pristine beaches in the country, the community holds the annual U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition. Imperial Beach, or IB, offers apartments, town homes, condominiums, and houses ranging from the mid-$200,000s to millions of dollars for oceanfront property. The Alejandra, Bayview Manor, Beach and Bay Villas, Dahlia Town homes, Holly Manor and Royal Jason Town homes are condominium complexes offering resort-style amenities in this peaceful beach community.
